For six weeks each summer, ten NYC science and math teachers take part in a unique research opportunity at NYU-Poly called SMART. Teachers work closely with engineering faculty and graduate researchers, exploring robotics and mechatronics through hands-on projects, and leave their experience empowered, ready to translate their research into lesson plans, lab development and curriculum reform.
